Village Contact Drive on COVID and Malaria
The state Government has been implementing a Program DAMAN is an acronym for Durgam Anchalare Malaria Nirakaran (Malaria eradication in inaccessible areas) in Odisha, to combat the disease. Around 320 extremely remote and inaccessible villages in Kandhamal district has been identified under DAMAN for targeted intervention since 2018. It has been decided that a medical team along with local volunteers and peer leaders will reach these villages for malaria test and medical intervention, in case of need, during the monsoon months. SWATI has been facilitating the program in K.Nuagaon Block of Kandhamal District.
